New arrivals to the supermarket shelves is always a bet from the company. Sometimes its becomes in a new star birth and in other cases stores finally lower the price to practically give items away.
Chef Pii’s Pink Sauce, which went viral on TikTok video at Walmart and drew in a multitude of food critics and enthusiasts, has recently faced a series of challenges after people.
Pink Sauce, straight to the Walmart’s clearance section
Controversy has swirled around this product, which initially garnered attention with its modern branding and catchy name. However, complaints about the product’s quality and inconsistency in bottle colors have raised questions about its quality control.

The Pink Sauce, once known for its captivating social media presentation, found itself at the center of a storm when it was revealed that bottles were being sold in the clearance section at Walmart. A TikTok user named Beth (@sadstar) went viral by showcasing the bottles in a video that amassed over 3.8 million views.
Pink Sauce in different colors
In the video, Beth points out that the bottles are being sold for 50 cents, despite the original price tag indicating $8. She also highlights the striking differences in bottle colors, further fueling questions about the product’s consistency. “Why would you pay them?“, Beth asks on the video after she realised “they’re all different colors”.
Social media comments have been mixed. Some express concerns about the variable colors and product quality, while others simply have no interest in trying the Pink Sauce, deeming it a risky choice. One user even recalled how Chef Pii reacted negatively when asked whether the product was FDA-approved, adding more doubts about its safety and authenticity.
Walmart’s employee comments “only one has been sold”
Comments went wild and one of the users also remarked the disparity in colors “The all different colors scare me so much” can be read on the video.
One of the most notable comments came form a Walmart employee who confirmed that the Pink Sauce is still on the store shelves but with limited sales. “I work at Walmart; it’s still on the shelf with the rest of the condiments,” they stated. “It’s priced at $7.78, has only one facing, and only one has been sold, lol,” the employee explained.
More than just one Pink Sauce video on TikTok
Sadstar video is not the only one you can find if spend some time on TikTok. The social Media platform is full of Walmart’s customer video about the sauce and all of them emphasizes that pink color is not always same pink.
In one of the video goes further with the joke about the sauce asking “when did food poisoning in a bottle become legal to sell in stores“. There is probably more customers that have uploaded videos about Pink Sauce on TikTok than customers who have really taste it.
Despite its presence in one of the world’s largest retailers, it seems that the Pink Sauce still has hurdles to overcome on its path to widespread acceptance and consumer trust. And it maybe starts with the color.
