How are SNAP payment dates determined?

For instance, in some states like Arizona, the benefits are made available over the first 13 calendar days of the month, based on the first letter of the client’s last name. In others like Arkansas, benefits are made available over eight days, between the fourth and the 13th of every month, based on the last digit of the recipient’s Social Security number.
